Bach & Stern

About

Bach & Stern

We develop, finance and operate commercial and industrial solar in Puerto Rico.

The name

Bach means stream and Stern means star. A stream is steady and patient; a star is the source of all the energy we use. Together they describe what we do: turn sunlight into a reliable, stable flow of energy for businesses in Puerto Rico.

Who we are

Bach & Stern is a commercial and industrial solar developer based in San Juan. We work with manufacturers, retail operators, building owners and residential associations that need a predictable energy cost.

We combine infrastructure capital with local execution: we structure the project, finance it, build it with our engineering partner and operate it for decades. We would rather decline a project than promise savings that do not hold up.

Team

Sponsor

VRM Penzini Capital

VRM Penzini Capital provides the infrastructure capital behind our projects and the investment discipline we apply to every opportunity. That backing is what lets us offer contracts with no investment from the customer.

Partner

Eastern Power Solutions

Eastern Power Solutions is our engineering, procurement and construction partner. It designs and builds the systems and sustains the operation and maintenance program.

How we finance

Every project is structured as a long-term infrastructure asset. Capital comes from our sponsor and from energy-focused lenders; we carry the construction, performance and maintenance risk. The host contributes no capital, takes on no debt and pays only for the energy delivered.
